Happy Saturday!
We are supposed to have great weather today. The past few days have been drizzly and overcast. I hope we see the sun today.
I spent some time in my craft room the past few days trying to get ahead. I am happy to say I have several cards made to share with you over the next few days.
I looked as some sketch challenge blogs and found a sketch at Cards and Things that I thought I would use.
In my blurfing I saw a card on Butternut Sage Designs where Donna used the Lace Ribbon Border punch behind a flower on her card. I decided I wanted to give it a try so this card was perfect for the idea. I used Mr. Big Shot and the Fun Flowers die to cut out my flower. I sponged the edges with ink and then put it together. After that I just needed to add the Lace Ribbon. To do that I pulled in some of my sewing skills and clipped the bottom so that I could curve the paper. I used lots and lots and lots of sticky tape as I did not want it coming apart. I had to do some adjusting but all in all it turned out pretty good. Here is my creation.

As you can see the flower is huge when you add the lace border behind it. Let me know your thoughts. Do you like it or not? Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!
Robbie

Oh I like this Robbie. What a great idea. I love your card too & of course the inside….
I love your flowers. I love all kinds of flowers and I love the idea of the doily punched edge behind the flower. Really a lovely, lovely card.
