I have to admit I am not sure I like my results.
I saw on several blogs these paper flowers and thought I would give it a try. You begin with a 12″ long piece of paper. You punch one of the long edges then cut the strip to 1″ wide. Run the strip through your crimper 3 times to soften the paper. Cut a circle (I cut two 1 3/8″ circles and one 1 3/4″ circle using the punches) and apply sticky tape to one side – you can use sticky sheets but I decided to try and see if I can achieve the same look with sticky tape. Beginning on one edge start to stick down your paper going around the circle – I did some gathering as I went around but I am not sure you are supposed to do this. Continue wrapping your paper around the circle and forming layers as you go. When finished attach a button in the center – I had some button brads that I have had for several years and never used.
After I made my flowers, I realized that I needed to make a card. I went looking and decided that my flowers fit the make a red, white, and blue non patriotic card on the Stampin’ B’s Design Team blog. I combined it with the sketch challenge on the Card Patterns blog. Since I used the button brads that I had bought and not used it also fit the challenge on the Our Creative Corner blog. Here is the sketch and my creation.

Let me know what you think of my paper flowers. Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Honestly, I've seen you do better. I like the flowers, they were a great idea with the crinkle and the pretty lacy scallop edge. I did not like the color combination nor the checked button in the middle. The ribbon seems too thin and the backround was too plain. Sandy
What a pretty flower! Thanks for playing with us at CP!
I LOVE the flowers and think they really stand out on the white background. Great card.
Your flowers are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!
I think your flowers are terrific! Thanks for playing with the Stampin B's!!
Terrific hand made flowers – my favorite kind. I love gingham and think I would have used those brads the first week I had them – LOL!! So glad that you got to show some love to your older supplies! Great to see you joining in the fun with Our Creative Corner this week.
Fantastic card! Great job on the challenge! Thanks so much for joining us this week at Our Creative Corner.
