Playing with some challenges

I hope everyone is having a great evening. I spent some time in my craft room playing with some challenges today. I was able to combine 4 (yes I said 4) challenges on this card. I think it is so cute.

The first challenge I used as the color challenge from the Color Dare blog. You had to use Always Artichoke, Creamy Caramel, Elegant Eggplant, and Pumpkin Pie. I thought these would make great Halloween colors so I pulled some Halloween sets. I then realized that the Creative Belli Challenge blog had a challenge to use Halloween colored Bling or Glitter. Since I had not used my glitter in while I decided to use it and add some bling to my background. I then needed a sketch and so I checked out my sketch blogs and saw Priscilla had posted the Midnight Madness sketch and since I hadn’t done one of her sketches in a while I decided to use it.

While I was cleaning up my kitchen I was thinking about how to design the card. I all just seemed to fall into place. While I was trying to come up with the corner elements, it hit me to use ribbon. I decided to twist the ribbon through the card which then meant I was able to incorporate the 4th challenge which was from the Caardvarks blog and the challenge was to use ribbon in a wonderful way. I love to use ribbon and it is nice to use in a different way rather than a strip or bows.

The longest part of this card was waiting for the glue holding the ribbon to dry. Here is the sketch and my creation.

Stampin’ Up Supplies

Stamps: Booglie Eyes, Halloween Backgrounds Paper and Ink: Always Artichoke, Basic Black, Creamy Caramel, Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie Accessories: Elegant Eggplant & Yoyo Yellow markers

I hope you like this card. I think it is so cute. I had a hard time photographing it. Not sure if the glitter threw it off or if it was because it was night time. I did use the colors stated and the background paper is supposed to be purple. Thanks for sticking with me while I was on vacation. Thanks for coming back to see my card and have a great evening!
