Hello Everyone ~ I am sharing the final card for Christmas where I used a framelit to make a poinsettia.
I spent a lot of time in my craft room yesterday. I made a bunch of cards for this week, worked on my planner cover, and made my cards for my January workshop. Very productive day! The date in the calendar schedule was wrong. I thought the card was for last week. Needless to say I did a Christmas card so if you are in need of another late card idea here is one for you. I began my using a piece of the This Christmas dsp and added it to a slightly larger panel of Garden Green. This was added to a Very Vanilla card base. Choose a coordinating piece of dsp from the paper to create a banner with the Banner Framelits. Add this horizontally to the card on the lower portion of the card front. Next the Flourish Thinlits were used to make a poinsettia. I cut 2 of the large open flowers using Cherry Cobbler. Take one of the flowers and cut it down so you are left with only the small inner flower. Attach the 2 flowers together using glue dots and making sure to offset the petals of the small one from the inside petals of the large one. Use some Garden Green card stock and cut 2 leaves. Use some Tombow Multipurpose liquid glue to attach the leaves to the flower. Attach the completed flower to the card using a glue dot. Add a rhinestone you have colored with a yellow Sharpie marker. Your card is now complete!
