Pop of Paradise Hello

Good Morning Everyone ~ with all the cold weather we are dealing with, I created a tropical Pop of Paradise Hello card for you.

The wind was not as bad today and the sun came out.  It was nice to see the sun and the snow is was so pretty.  The snow plows were busy on the roads today.  We had one go down our road several times trying to clear it so the sun could melt it.  When it is this cold, salt does not work.  They have to use the plows and scrape the roads.  I have not gone outside other than to take Bijou out.  It is dangerously cold.  I am hoping my pipes do not freeze.  I have been lucky so far and I have a faucet in my bathroom that I am letting drip in hopes that it will prevent the freeze.

I looked at my calendar and realized I totally missed the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.   I looked at my calendar wrong and thought the challenge was next week.  Well the challenge was this week.  We had a sketch challenge.

I worked on my card the other day and that is when I realized I had missed it.  I opted to use some tropical colors since we have had frigid weather.  I used the flamingo and Flirty Flamingo ink and inked up the stamp.  Before I stamped it, I used the Basic Black marker and colored the legs.  After I stamped it I cut it out.  I stamped the big palm fronds with Emerald Envy and cut them out also.  I thought the back ground needed to have some sparkle so I used a piece of the Eastern Palace dsp.  The dsp was added to the card base using Tear & Tape.  Next I used the palm fronds for the horizontal strip.  The flamingo was added to hide where the palm fronds overlapped using dimensionals.  I stamped my sentiment using Emerald Envy and punched it out using the 1 1/4″ circle punch.  I then punched a 1 3/8″ gold circle.  The 2 circles were layered and then added to the card base using dimensionals.  Here is my tropical Pop of Paradise Hello card.
