A Pretty Color Combination

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I have a birthday card to share with you today. I made it for the challenge at Late Night Stampers yahoo group. You were to create a birthday card. There were no other specifications so I decided to use the sketch challenge on Tracy’s Eat Sleep Stamp blog. When I looked at her sketch I saw the oval and didn’t want to go the usual route and cut a rectangle and put an oval on top. I decided to take the rectangle and cut an oval out of it. I would then stamp my image and layer the cut out over top. I stamped my cupcake image, colored it, and cut it down to fit the rectangle. I felt the rectangle needed something so I stamped it with a swirl and then used the gel pen to add some sparkle. When I cut down the image I had 1 cupcake that I cut off so I decided to layer it and add it as an extra image. I chose my colors for this card from the color challenge at the Picture Perfect Creations blog. Here is the sketch and my creation.
