Well Hello Stampers ~ Are you ready for some great projects for our Product Focus?

I worked on on cards yesterday as well as cleaned my bathrooms.  I got the cards made for my sister’s retirement group meeting next week finished.  I was glad to get those designed.  Today I will make my video for Sunday as no one will be here and it will be quiet.  I might even get a few other videos made so I am prepared for the next couple of Sunday’s.  Love being ahead on things.

Today we have our Product Focus blog hop.  This week we were to do use one of the new Sale-abration item.

I only had the glimmer paper from this second release and it is sold out.  I am so bummed as I love my bling.  I would love to see more glimmer paper in the new catalog, how about you?  With a few of the items sold out they decided to add some more items to the selection.  They have added the Succulent Garden dsp.  I have this paper and I love it – again was not fond of it when I saw it in the catalog, then the samples started being posted.  I chose to use that today since you cannot get the glimmer paper any more.

I started with an idea to show you how to use some of the scraps you have left over when you cut down your dsp.  I had several pieces of 2″ x 3 3/4″.  I chose to revisit the split paper idea.  The pieces of dsp were taken and cut on a diagonal on the long side.  To make them look like it was one piece and not 2 separate pieces I used the first one as a guide to cut the second piece.  These pieces were added to a Sweet Sugarplum panel that was 4″ x 5 1/4″.  The sentiment was stamped in the middle section using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  To finish off the panel I added some Whisper White baker’s twine and then created a multi-loop bow.  The bow was added with a glue dot.  This panel was added to a Whisper White card base.  My card is complete!  Here is my creation.

inside of card – somewhere on my desk is the envelope that is colored the same way.

  1. I love this simple card to showcase the beautiful paper – and I am obsessed with that Sweet Sugarplum color, so what's not to love here?? Your flower on the inside of that card is just beautiful! Great job!
