Hello Everyone ~ I have a Quick and Easy Butterfly idea for you today.
I am still working on my masks for my cards. I have about 15 left to glue and then I can put the cards together. Making 65 of these takes a lot longer than I thought. I have to go to the post office today so I will get stamps to mail them all out. I finally got the padded envelopes I ordered back in the middle of April. These were priority ones from USPS. I did not think it would take that long. Thank goodness I can finally mail out some things!
I am still playing with retiring sets. Today I used the Beautiful Day set with that great large butterfly. I wanted to show you a quick way to color the large image. I went looking for a splotch stamp I could use to do this. I found the perfect on in Love What You Do. I used the butterfly stamp to help me determine where to stamp the splotches. I stamped the first splotch using Mango Melody. Then I stamped the second one with Melon Mambo overlapping the first stamp. The butterfly was then stamped over top the splotches using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The wings were then sparkled using the Wink of Stella. This panel was layered onto a Melon mambo layer and then again onto Basic Black. These layered panels were added to a Mango Melody card base. I wanted a sentiment so I chose one from Daisy Lane and stamped it using Melon Mambo. A Basic Black Layer was added and then the sentiment was attached to the upper right hand corner using dimensionals. To finish the card, some rhinestones were added to the butterfly’s body. Here is the Quick and Easy Butterfly creation.

Here is the same butterfly colored in blues for a pretty image. This one is a Pool Party version. Here is a watercolor idea for that same butterfly.
