Red and Black Charming

As you read this I am in Pennsylvania at the cross stitch show.  My sister and I decided to check it out since we both like the company that is sponsoring it.  I also have a post ready for tomorrow and we will be home during the day on Saturday so I can have a post for Sunday.
I began with the color challenge at The Paper Players

I had not played with Mary Jo’s sketch challenge at Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge so I decided to use her sketch for my card.

I stamped the frame from Matchbox Messages and then using markers colored the flower sprig from Charming.  I stamped the sprig inside the frame and mounted it.  Next I cut a scalloped circle and then embossed it with the polka dot embossing folder.  All that was left was the layering and ribbon.  Here is my creation.

Hope you liked my creation today.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

  1. Very pretty! Love the border around your flower image and the polka dot embossing looks great! đŸ™‚

  2. Darn, I would have liked to go to the cross-stitch show too….where was that? I guess I have too many hobbies, I can't get all my cross stitch OR my stamping done! This is a lovely card! Thanks so much for playing!

  3. Love both of your cards. I especially like the way you did your ribbon on the second card

  4. What a great border you created around your flower! Just beautiful. Wonderful take on the sketch, love the red and black! Thanks so much for playing along.
