Hello Everyone ~ will you be as Sad to see this one go! as I am?
Have you marked your catalog with the products that are retiring? While I have pulled my stamp sets that are going away I have not marked my book. I did discover earlier yesterday that the Sparkle glimmer paper is retiring. This made me really sad. I use this sparkle paper a lot for the extra touch of bling. I will be on the look out for another alternative for add my bling. I have a few ideas I need to play with so be on the lookout for those ideas.
We have a sketch challenge for the next 2 weeks at the Hand Stamped Sentiments Paper Crafting Challenges blog.
When I looked at the sketch I then checked my retiring stamp sets to see which one I had I could use. As it turned out I have 2 that I can use to make my card using the sketch. I knew I had to address the large gray rectangle so I pulled out my Bokeh Dots. I stamped it using Pool Party in the center of a Whisper White panel. This was mounted onto a Pool Party card base. I stamped the unicorn from Leave a Little Sparkle using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then used my Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, and Pool Party marker to color the mane. The horn was colored using a Crushed Curry marker and the flowers were colored with a Highland Heather marker. Then I had to fussy cut it out. After I had it cut out I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach it to the right hand side of my card front. For my sentiment I used the word in the stamp set and stamped it with Bermuda Bay onto Coastal Cabana card stock. The Classic Label punch was used to punch it out and to shorten the size to make it fit. It was added to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish off the card I added some rhinestones. Here is the completed Sad to see this one go? creation.

Coloring with markers is a great way to color your image. Here is another card I used the same image for but used different colors to color it this time. This one is a simple card using that fun image. Here is a shaker card where I colored the flowers using markers.

I have this one too.
I lost a lot of good ones. Just means I have room for more!
