A Beach Scrapbook Page to showcase a great picture

Happy Monday Ladies ~ The girls were at the beach last week and I have a Scrapbook Page of their trip!

Are you ready for a new week?  I don’t know about you but I always have so much to do.  I did not get all the videos made yesterday that I had wanted.  The girls got home a lot earlier than I had thought they would so I did not have a quiet house.  I am not sure if I will get them made today as I don’t know if Remi will be going to the other grand mother’s.  If she does I will make the videos and if not I will work on them on Tuesday.

One of the forums I am in on Facebook is a Scrapbook group.  They have a weekly challenge and last week the sketch was one I had to try.  Here is the sketch that spoke to me.

Since our challenge at Make My Monday challenge blog  is vacation I decided to try a scrapbook page.

The girls were gone all last week to the beach.  Jess sent me pictures and there was one that I thought was so cute.  I decided to make a scrapbook page with the picture.  The sketch had to be flipped to make it work for a beach.  I began with a base of Soft Sky.  A piece of Sahara Sand was cut down and then the edge was torn to represent the edge of the sand.  Next I took a piece of Whisper White that I had cut down and started sponging on ink.  On the lower edge I started with Pool Party.  After I had a good size strip down I added some Marina Mist.  The next layer was Island Indigo and the last section was Dapper Denim.  I made sure to blend the layers together well so it was seamless.  After I had all my color applied, I pulled out my White craft ink and started sponging it on to represent the white caps.  When I was happy with the look I attached it to my page so that it was just under the Sahara Sand.  I mounted my picture onto some Dapper Denim.  The circles were cut using 1 3/4″, 2″, and 2 1/2″ circle punches from Serene Scenery dsp.  The sentiment was stamped and mounted onto Dapper Denim.  After all the pieces were layered I added my sentiment.  Here is my creation.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I am thinking I will start an album for Jess with pictures of her and the girls.  I will be on a hunt for some photos!  Have a Marvelous Monday and do you have a Scrapbook Page you can share with me?
