Hello Stampers ~ I had an inspiration challenge for today and I created my Seasonal Layers Cherry Blossoms for it.
Well they started installing my floors yesterday. They also have my backsplash installed. It is starting to go quickly. I have movers coming next Friday the 22nd. I have to be out of the apartment on the 25th. I am hoping I can get into the house on the 22nd. If not I will borrow a blow up mattress and stay in the apartment until the 25th. If I cannot get in the house on the 25th I will be going to a hotel. Hopefully it won’t be too long for the hotel stay if I have to resort to that.
We have an inspiration challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments Paper Crafting Challenges.
I was curious at to what inspiration I would used from this. I loved the pink used for the vases but I did not have any vases. I did not have a door so that one was out. I loved that bike but not bike so that was out. The Cherry Blossom trees were great but I had just used the tree so that left the branches and butterflies. That is what I decided to go with. I began with a Balmy Blue card base. I used the Seasonal Layers and Early Espresso to cut out 3 branches. I then needed to make my Cherry Blossoms so I used the flower thinlit and Whisper White to cut out a bunch of the blossoms. To make them look more like the Cherry Blossoms in the photo, I used my sponge dauber and Blushing Bride to add color to the edges. To put my card together, I used the Abstract Impressions stamp set and Pear Pizzazz ink to add some blades of grass to the bottom. The tree branches were glued down using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue. To attach my Cherry Blossom flowers I used glue dots and dimensionals. To finish off the card it needed some bling so I added rhinestones to the center of the flowers. Here is my completed Seasonal Layers Cherry Blossoms.
