The secret is out!

I have been keeping a secret for about a week now. I received a lovely e-mail from Genny at Hand Stamped Sentiments. She was asking me to be their first guest designer. I was so honored to be chosen. This is one of my regular challenge sites. I love the work these ladies do and their challenges are so much fun.

This week was a theme challenge. They chose the theme Father’s Day. I could create any project I wanted. In my blurfing over the past several weeks I ran across the neatest idea and I knew it would be perfect for this honor.

I decided to make a meander book. This is a mini scrapbook made from 1 sheet of 12 x 12 designer series paper. Since I had the To The Nines patterned paper I knew it would be perfect for this project. I went looking for a video telling how to make the book and found one by The Bug Junkie at You Tube (love that site for how-to videos). Next I went looking through all my sets to find sentiments that would be appropriate for the book. After that I pulled out all my punches to use to create embellishments. Now I was ready to create!

Since I gave the link to the how-to video and I have a lot of pictures to share, I am not going to spend time explaining the particulars. Instead I am going to share my pictures and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

So did you enjoy my project today? I am planning on having a class on how to make these. The ladies at my workshop loved it. It would make a great mom’s or grandma’s brag book as it would fit in the purse perfectly – it is about 3 x 3. I had so much fun being a guest designer. Make sure you visit Hand Stamped Sentiments and play along with their challenge this week.

I am going to try to work on a brayer card to post later today so check back this evening to see what I came up with. Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

  1. Wow! This is adorable! I haven't been able to stamp for a while and I think this will have to be the first project I try!
