Sending Wishes

Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend.  It was very quiet here and I even took a nap – something I never do.

Zoie came into my craft room on Saturday and wanted to stamp.  She knew she wanted to use the tree stamp and put pink flowers on it.  I figured out she wanted to use The Sheltering Tree stamp set.  I pulled it out and she stamped the tree.  Then she wanted to put pink flowers on it so we stamped the flowers on it.  The she wanted to add a bike and naturally it had to be pink so we added that.  Then she wanted some flowers so we stamped the stems and then she added the tops.  Then she asked to add some clouds.  I thought we would use the grass stamp as clouds.  I inked it up and she very carefully stamped on side of the stamp on the right hand side of the card.  I then had a discussion with her and I realized she wanted to use only the side of the whole stamp so I then only inked up the one side of the stamp so she could stamp her clouds.  I have to admit I was pretty impressed she was thinking out of the box for the clouds.  Not something I would have thought to do.  Here is her card.

Now on to my card for today.  There was a new group on Facebook I found out about and they have a weekend challenge.  I joined the group and decided to play along this weekend.  Here is the sketch from Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Weekend Challenge

I recently read about using a circle to highlight your image.  I knew the circle would be the perfect background for my flowers.  I punched my flowers and sponged the edges.  Then I cut my circle out.  I added some score lines to the white layer for some interest.  I added some silver twine and then put the flowers on top.  I sponged each end of my sentiment layer – another idea I saw online.  Here is my creation.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I have an appointment then need to watch Remi while Jess has an appointment so not sure how much crafting time I will get.  Have a Marvelous Monday!

Your card is very sweet and the colors are perfect for Spring. Our Easter was very nice and quiet. I spent the day watching the recorded episodes of Downton Abbey! Have a great week!
