Shimmer Mist Blobs

Well we are off to another week. I cannot believe it is the middle of April already. Time is passing so quickly. Soon my youngest will be moving to California for a year and my oldest will be moving back to the area for 3 years. So many changes coming up.

My card today was created using 2 challenges. I used the color challenge from Diva Coffee Break Designs.

I combined it with the sketch challenge at Stamping 411. I began by making the center panel. I started with a coral piece that I stamped the line image from Vintage Vogue. I then rounded the corners. I cut a piece of saffron and stamped the vine image along one edge. I then cut around the vine image to create a panel with some interest. I then stamped my flowers and cut them out. I added a silver brad in the center and popped them with dimensionals. It still needed something so I pulled out the smallest butterfly from Flight of the Butterfly and inked it with saffron then using the rock -n-roll method I edged it with chocolate chip. They needed some bling so I used my glitter gel pen to trace the edges. I then attached them to the panel and spritzed the whole panel with shimmer mist.

Now I had to do my card base. I went with Chocolate Chip for this layer. When I laid the center panel on the card the base was too bland so I pulled out the large flower and stamped it with chocolate chip. To attach my ribbon I used my exacto knife and cut a small slit on the fold. I used the slit punch and cut a space to thread the ribbon through on the opposite side. I ran my ribbon through the slits and tied it. I wanted to add some sparkle so I pulled out my shimmer mist and sprayed it. That is when I wanted to scream. My spray bottle did not give me a fine mist but rather there were some blobs. I was hoping when it dried it would disappear but no I have 3 large blobs right above my ribbon. Darn! Anyone know how I can fix this? What spray bottles do you use for your shimmer mist? Okay, here is the sketch and my creation even with the blobs.
