Shiplap chicken from Clear Scraps
Hello everyone – I have a cute Shiplap chicken from Clear Scraps to share with you today.
I saw the shiplap shape and remembered my chicken pattern paper. I combined the 2 to make a fun home decor piece.
I began by choosing which patterns to use for the chicken. I googled chickens to see what different kinds there were. After looking at them I wanted a light color for the body, a red for the head, and a dark pattern for the tail. I also knew that I had to figure out a way to blend the papers together. In looking at the chickens the feathers have a jagged edge so I used my scissors to zigzag cut the edge.
The stand was so big compared to the chicken so I used a chipboard house that looks like barn and made a barn to go with it.
