Hello Everyone ~ Are you ready for another blast from the past with the #ShopYourCraftStash Serene Garden creation?
I ran a bunch of errands yesterday and mailed out my calendars to everyone. Trying to keep busy while I wait on news about my sister. I have everything I needed to do completed so tomorrow I can spend the day in my studio working on designing and creating. I am working on designing some 8″ x 10″ collages that I am going to offer through the mail as some ladies asked me about it. I did this when I was living in Maryland and we made 12″ x 12″ framed art but I thought I would mix it up a little by doing them 8″ x 10″ and have them fit in a shadow box frame. That way we can add lots of little trinkets and bows to them.
I went shopping in my stash again for today’s card. I specifically went looking for something I could use my watercolor pencils on as I had not played with them in a while. I had to have an open stamp that could be colored. I decided to use the Serene Garden set. I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo black ink. I could not find my set of watercolor pencils that are current so I used the set I had from several years ago. I chose a yellow, orange, and a green. The dark green reminds me of Old Olive, the brighter green was similar to Granny Apple Green, the orange looks like Calypso Coral, and the yellow was Pineapple Punch. I colored all the images then used a blender pen to spread the color around. Once the image was colored I added some of the 1/8″ Pineapple Punch grosgrain ribbon at the top and attached a bow. I needed a sentiment so I went looking at my sets and found a great one in the retired Petite Pairs set. I stamped it using Memento Tuxedo black ink. The panel was then added to a Calypso Coral card base and the #ShopYourCraftStash Serene Garden creation was complete.

Would you like to see some other tropical colored cards? Check out this one that pops because of the black. This one uses the same Calypso Coral color for a fun card. This one has the same colors as the card in today’s post!
