Hello Everyone ~ want a Simple Beautiful Friendship idea today?
Yesterday we went to the pool. We spent several hours there then came home and cleaned up for dinner. We went to a Mexican restaurant last night. Today we may go downtown and walk around for a bit so they can see our cute downtown. Not sure what else we will do as it will be pretty hot. We may do the pool and then go downtown in the afternoon. We will see what we end up doing. It will be fun no matter what.
Today’s card was a layout I saw online. I really liked it and wanted to see how I could use it. The first element I had to address was the swirl. I looked at my dies and had the Flourish ones. I cut the large die out of Night of Navy. I wanted it sparkly so I spritzed it with some shimmer spray. The original card had a strip of paper across the lower portion of the card. I opted to use the See a Silhouette designer series paper that had Navy in it. I them need a smaller strip diagonally behind the designer series paper. I chose to use Night of Navy card stock. To get the placement of the diagonal strip, I set the designer series paper down of the card, determined where to put the Navy card stock then removed the designer series paper strip and stuck the card stock piece down. Next I added the designer series paper strip. Then I glued the Flourish die in place. To finish off the card I stamped my sentiment in Night of Navy onto a scrap of Highland Heather card stock. The 1 3/4″ circle punch was used to punch it out. It was added to the card base using dimensionals. Here is my completed Simple Beautiful Friendship creation.
