Simple Easter

Happy Monday Everyone ~ I am all about quick cards when I am in a rush and today’s Simple Easter card fits this bill.

Well they have that “S” word in our forecast later this week.  We have been know to have some major snow storms here in March and I guess this year will be no different.  Time will tell if it comes to fruition or not.

I have not played with my challenges in a while so I decided to check them out the other day when I had a few minutes.  I found 2 I could combine for my card today.  The first was at sketch challenge at
Paper Craft Crew.

Visit the Paper Craft Crew and play along with Sketch Challenge 234. #pcc2017 #sketch #papercraftcrew www.papercraftcrew.com

I also liked the color challenge at Color Throwdown.

I thought I would combine them for my card today.  I began with a piece of patterned paper from the Subtles paper stack.  This was put on the top of my card.  I then used some Wisteria Wonder baker’s twine to wrap around the top of the card.  The Gorgeous Grunge stamp set is perfect for adding splatters to your card so I used it to add some at the top of my card.  Next I had the banners to work on.  The Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper adds just a little bit of bling so I used it for one of my banners.  Then a strip of Wisteria Wonder was stamped with the egg from the Basket Builder stamp set.  I flagged the end using the Banner Triple punch.  The 2 strips were layered and then added to the top of the card.  The framelits from the bundle were used to cut out a Dazzling Diamonds egg and a Wisteria Wonder egg.  Dots of glue were added to the back of the polka dot egg and then it was added to the Dazzling Diamond egg.  To make my sentiment, I masked the bottom of the stamp with a post-it note and inked up the sentiment.  You then remove the mask and stamp the sentiment.  After you clean your stamp you repeat the procedure masking the top of the stamp.  The ends are flagged and then it was added to the card front using dimensionals.  The egg was also added with dimensionals.    Here is my completed creation.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I have an appointment today so I won’t get much time to spend in my craft room today.  I will try and play some when I get home after my appointment.  Have a Marvelous Monday and let me know what you think of my Simple Easter card.
