Simple Handmade Card Design
Hello Everyone ~ I have a Simple Handmade Card Design idea for you today.
This week I decided to focus on Black & White with a pop of color cards. When I went to Convention this was my favorite swap to sign up for. I thought it would be fun to show you how you can use some simple colors and create a great card.
I have to admit this card did not turn out like I had envisioned it. I knew I wanted to use some black and white checked paper and decided to use red for my pop of color. Using the patterned paper meant the card was quick and easy. I was fine until I added my die cut!
I had cut out the die and when I set it on the page to see how it looked it was not popping like I wanted it to. I decided it needed something and here is where I may have gone wrong.
I created some shimmer spray using shimmer paint. I sprayed my die cut and it did not seem to make a difference. I decided to spray it again. I still did not like it so sprayed again. I continued like this until I had sprayed the die cut about 6 times.
I thought it might be a good idea to let it dry but it was so wet I had to use the heat tool. When it was finally dry I wasn’t happy so I thought I would try it on the card and see what it would look like.
The card needed something so I used an alcohol marker and colored some pearls to go with it. When all was said and done I am not sure about this card. LOL have you ever had days like that?
Check out my Simple Handmade Card Design and let me know what you think!
Here is another idea that uses black and white with a pop of color. Don’t miss this great idea that uses just black and white!

Product ListI used a new program for today’s post. All Word Press blogs are switching over to this program by the end of the year. I am crossing my fingers that it worked. I guess I will find out tomorrow morning when I get up. LOL Thanks for visiting and what did you think of the Simple Handmade Card Design idea? Let me know!
