Hello Everyone ~ I have the last of the Simply Citrus Alternative Ideas to share with you today.
I cannot believe the number of extra cards I got from this kit. If you do the kit the way Stampin’ Up designed it you will get 15 cards. With my changes and cutting up of the card bases I created a total of 24 cards and I have a few pieces left over I can use on other cards. Here are the final cards from this fun kit.
This is the original card you create using the kit.
For the first alternative idea I took the original card and cut it up. The front was used as a layer on a layer created with the back of the original card and some ribbon was added to create this card.
I then cut the card apart again and the back was used as a layer. The front was cut down to a smaller size and added as a layer. The ribbon was crisscrossed and some of the cute flowers were added where it crossed. I used a banner from the kit and another scrap that was cut from another card front to create the sentiment. Rhinestones add that needed bling to the flowers.
From the piece I cut off from the card above I created this idea. The back was used as a layer. Some of the pieces from the kit were used to create the sentiment layer. This one also used some of those mini flowers.
At this point I was only left with strips and you know I love showing you how to use your scraps. I combined several strips for this card to create the diagonal focal image. To offset it I stamped some of the images from the stamp set in the kit in the lower right hand corner. The sentiment was added diagonally to mimic the diagonal stripes.
For the final card I again used a strip down the left hand side of a panel. I took one of the navy strips and cut it down to make 2 strips for the top of the card. I also sprinkled some of the flowers on the front.
