Sketch Frenzy Friday – Just Believe

Happy Friday!

Well I am in the middle of e-filing my taxes.  This is not a fun activity and that may be why I put it off until the last minute.  Hopefully I will finish soon.

Friday is Sketch Frenzy Friday time.  This week our sketch was created by ME!

I wanted a clean and simple sketch so that is what I created.  I love the flower panel in Just Believe.  I saw how Connie Stewart took a tab from a soda can and using nail polish and glitter made a slide.  I decided to see what I could do.  I had some nail polish and as luck would have it Melon Mambo was a good match.  I also got to use some of my new Melon Mambo striped organdy ribbon.  I sure hope this is some of the new ribbon that will be in the new catalog as I love this ribbon.  Here is what I created for my sketch.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.   Hope on over to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see what the other design team members created.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

  1. What a great idea to use those soda pop tops! Love that as a buckle!! And I love how you used that stamped image. Great sketch this week!

  2. Robbie, love the CAS sketch. I love sketches that you some wiggle room and allow your creativty to soar. And what a simply gorgeous card! I love how you jazzed up the shape piece. I love that you colored the stamp image with markers. It really added some depth. And the soda pop can tab is very clever! I've heat embossed them, but never even thought about painted one. I just know our followers will be inspired by your work, and the user friendly sketch!
have a wonderful weekend! hugs, sharon w.

  3. Very pretty card!!! Melon Mambo is one of my favorite pinks – as is Pretty In Pink – I have this stamp set and sad to say it has not been used much – now I have some very pretty inspiration! And love the idea of the pop top with polish for a slide…TFS! (Connie too!)

  4. Wow!!! What a lovely card you have created Robbie. When I first saw it, it brought a smile to my face. CAS Perfection.

  5. Beautiful, elegantly simple card! Loved the sketch!!
