I have so much to do this weekend. I need to finish the invitations for my daughter’s shower. I have the paper cut and scored and the sleeves cut. I need to use the exacto knife to cut the shape of the card and then it is just a matter of gluing the pieces on.
My card today is for the sketch challenge we have at Sketch Frenzy Friday. We have a great sketch designed by Kim Innis. When I saw the sketch I immediately thought of snowflakes.
I don’t know why I think of snowflakes when I look at sketches lately. Must be a hidden desire for some more snow. It probably doesn’t help that there was a Winter Blues Color Splash Challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments that I wanted to do also.
I used my metal sheets for the embossed background. I pulled the 2 blues I had and decided to go with the royal blue. I then had to layer the colors with white and add my snowflakes and ribbon. I wanted the snowflakes to have some bling so I added rhinestones. I also added rhinestones down the side rather than brads. This card is 5″ square. Here is my creation.
