Sketch Frenzy Friday – Stitched Stockings

Happy Friday Stampers!

What is on your agenda for today?  I am headed to a quilting class and will then spend some time in my craft room.  I hope you will have time to create today also.

Since it is Friday it is also time for a new sketch from the Sketch Frenzy Friday team.  Our sketch this week was created by Maria Vanderform.

When I saw this sketch I thought about all the retired Christmas paper I have and decided I needed to use some of it for this one.  Once I had my base made it was time for the other elements.  I thought it would be fun to used the stitched stockings instead of the panel.  Then I just needed a sentiment so I went with a retired set as I loved the cute saying.  Here is my creation.

Hope you enjoyed my card today.  Not it is time to hope on over to Sharon Wheet’s blog to see what she did with the sketch.  Maybe you have been inspired to try our sketch.  Please share it with us so we can see what you created.  The link to the blog is above.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

  1. Oh I love this. I know you used the paper from last year. I used a lot last year and am using some this year. BUT, I am being very stingy this year. I think the paper is gorgeous and don't want to use it all up. Whispering this so no one else hears it: I like it better then the paper this year. Thanks for the inspiration (as usual).

  2. Great idea using the stocking instead of a panel. That's "thinking outside the panel" Love your choice of paper.
