Sketch Saturday

I am busy preparing for my trip to Italy. I have been making cards and posting them early so you have something to look at while I’m gone (really I just don’t want you to forget me 🙂 ). I thought it might be fun to share with you some card sites/blogs that have sketch challenges each week so that you could check them out and play along. Having the sketch really makes it so easy to put a card together quickly. If you use a sketch I would love to see the card you made. Consider also posting your cards on a site like Splitcoaststampers. It is a great site for inspiration.

I haven’t been to this website for a while and I recently saw several cards on other blogs using their sketches so I decided to check it out again. I saw a couple of sketches I like but went with this one as there was something about the simplicity that appealed to me. I also immediately thought of the Embrace Life set and the Ginger Blossom DS paper which I hadn’t used in a while. Here is the sketch and what I created.

Stamps: Embrace Life, Noteworthy (retired) Paper: Cameo Coral, River Rock, Ruby Red, Very Vanilla, Ginger Blossom DS Ink: Basic Black, Ruby Red Accessories: Ruby Red brads, photo corner punch, dimensionals, sponge.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
