Soft Sayings Card Kit 3 x 3’s

Happy Monday Everyone ~ I played with one of my kits to create these Soft Sayings Card Kit 3 x 3’s.

Yesterday was a day of changes.  I thought I would be in and out but my appointments changed.  Since I was home most of the day I decided to play in my room.  I worked on more cards for my catalog journey.  It was nice to work at a leisurely pace and take breaks every once in a while.  Today I do not have any plans so I will continue to work in my craft room.  I want to finish up a couple of cards I started on so I can move on to the next set.  I would love to have all my sets completed before the end of the month.  That is pretty ambitious so wish me luck!

Today’s card is actually a set of 3 x 3’s created using the Soft Sayings card kit.  If you are a beginner you can use the directions in the kit to complete the card as they were designed.  Or if you are so inclined, you can venture out and use the contents and your own ink to create an original creation.  For the first card, I used the Lemon Lime Twist background and added a strip of washi tape across the bottom.  I used the leaf sprays from the kit and added some dots of glue to the back.  These were then added to the card front.  I punched out one of the sentiment elements and stamped my sentiment using Tranquil Tide.  A sponge dauber was used to ink the edges of the sentiment layer.  The sentiment layer was added using dimensionals (which are also in the kit).  I stamped some leaves from the stamp set in the kit for the envelope and inside of the card.  Here is the first completed Soft Sayings Card Kit 3 x 3’s.

For the second mini card I used the Petal Pink watercolor background and one of the gold punch out flowers.  I added dots of glue to the back and added it to the upper right hand corner of the card front.  To finish off the card I stamped the sentiment using Berry Burst ink.  The mini flower was stamped using Powder Pink on the envelope and the inside of the card.  Here is the completed second card.

The final card made using the kit used another of the Lemon Lime Twist backgrounds.  I stamped some of the mini flowers from the stamp set and fussy cut them out.  I took another of the gold leaf sprays and added dots of glue to the back.  This was added to the card base on the right hand side then the flowers were added using glue dots.  To finish the card I punched out another of the sentiment panels and stamped the sentiment using Powder Pink.  The sentiment was added using dimensionals.  Some gold metallic pearls were added to the center of the flowers.  The same mini flower was added to the front of the envelope.  Here is the third card completed.
