Some more World Card Making Day Cards
Hello Everyone – would you like to see some more World Card Making Day cards?
The next 3 cards we made on Saturday were very different. That is an advantage when you have different presenters. It is always fun to create using others styles. It really pushed me to try something new which is good. It was also fun to use my supplies in interesting ways.
The first card today was created using a design from Annette. She had used the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set but I wanted to see if I could use a different set. I chose to use the All Things Fabulous set. She had used the dots in her set to make a background down the center and I chose to use the leaves from the set. This layout is not one I would have come up with so it was fun to try it.
Measurements
Card Base: Crushed Curry 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ and folded in half
Next Panel: Pear Pizzazz 4″ x 5 1/4″
Image Layer: White 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Sentiment layer background: Basic Black 1 1/8″ x 2 7/8″
Sentiment layer: White 1″ x 2 3/4″
Vicky then did another card. This one could be used for a masculine idea. I chose to use the same stamp set she used. I did change some of my colors. I never thought to add a vellum layer to regular card stock. She had embossed it but I did not have the embossing folder she used and nothing I had would have gone with the theme of the card. I made this one to send to Jake.
The next card was designed by Monica. She did hers as a Christmas card. I did not have the stamp set nor the pattern paper she used. I chose to use things I had. She did some stamping on the Kraft card stock that is in the July – December catalog. This is my first play with this card stock. I loved the technique she used. The image was stamped onto the card stock and then a White Chalk marker was used to color it. This was a fun technique and I will be using it again. I did not cut the sentiment correctly but I left it as it did not look bad. Here is my version of her card.
I still have 4 more World Card Making Day cards to share with you. I will do that on Sunday. Are you enjoying the cards I am sharing? Leave me a comment and let me know. Pull out your supplies and make your version. Make sure you share them with me as I love to see what you came up with. Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
