Some Spring cards for you

I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather we are having. It has been so nice to have sun and milder temperatures. I have crocus up and blooming. I will try and get a picture to post so you can see them.

I have 2 cards for you today. The first card was one we did in our workshop yesterday. I needed another card and I wanted it to be quick since my others were a little more involved. I picked up my Hello Again set and this is what I came up with.

Stampin’ Up Supplies

Stamps: Hello Again Paper: Old Olive, Orchid Opulence, Rich Razzleberry, white, Cottage Wall DS Ink: Rich Razzleberry Accessories: Old Olive – Orchid Opulence – Rich Razzleberry markers, scallop trim border punch, Rich Razzleberry polka dot ribbon, dimensionals

My second card was for several challenges. I began with the color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments where you were to use Bashful Blue, Brilliant Blue, Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss, Glorious Green, and Old Olive. With all these colors I started thinking about what to do. I ran across a spring challenge at Pals Paper Arts where you could create anything that had a spring theme. I knew I could use a card (never have too many of those) and with so many different colors I thought the Hello Again stamp set would be a good one to use. I went looking for a sketch and found one that would work for a field of flowers at Stamping 411 so I was set.

I used masking to create my field of flowers. Once I had all my flowers stamped the bottom looked bare so I used markers to add some grass. Then the top was too white so I pulled out my scallop circle punch to create a mask and sponged on some Bashful Blue for a pretty blue sky with some clouds. I ended up flipping the sketch so my image panel would work. I also added some brads at the bottom of the strip down the left side for some interest. Here is the sketch and my creation.
