Well today’s card is a little out of my ordinary style. I had wanted to do the Cuttlebug challenge on their blog. I checked it out and it was to use watercoloring to emboss or deboss. So I chose my embossing folder and pulled out one of my Kaleidacolor pads and inked up the inside of the folder. I ran my paper in the folder through my Cuttlebug and liked the effect.
Then I had to begin to put my card together. I matched the ink with Green Galore and mounted the embossed piece on the card. I had just a little of this black and white polka dot ribbon left so I put it across the bottom. After I put on my ribbon I thought it would be interesting to stamp an image in black. I then used my ink pad to ink the edges of the stamped image and mounted it on black. It still needed something so I chose 3 colors that matched to make layers for underneath. I used pop dots to attach the 3 layers of color and then used pop dots to attach the stamped image on the top.
I then used the ink pad to ink the sentiment and cut it down to fit into the word window punch and punched the ends. I then punched a black one to mount the sentiment to and used pop dots to attach to the card. When I was finished I went back and reread the requirements and realized I had not watercolored so I couldn’t use it for that challenge. But guess what, as I was checking out my blogs I realized that All That Scraps has a dry embossing challenge so I can use it for their challenge. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is the final creation.

I love the card, that came out great! I’ve done that technique, inking the embossing folder but never thought to use my rainbow pad. Learn something new every day! But it’s really pretty.
Hope we can work it out with times etc. to meet at Savage Mill. I’m watching myself to see what the times will be!
Thanks for sharing this, I love your blog. No, I don’t have one, haven’t had the time or patience to set one up yet!
Rhonda
I liked the idea of the technique. You are becoming so adventuresome. I think I will try this. Sandy
