Hello Everyone ~ I am in love with the Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up that is part of the second release.
I worked yesterday on a tutorial for my newsletter. It was a fun Fancy Fold Card. If you have not signed up for my newsletter fill out the form on the right so you don’t miss any of them. You never know what I will be sharing. Today I will be working on my upstairs bedroom after my workshop. I am hoping to clear out a lot of boxes. Then I need to work in the garage getting things organized so I can move my bins out there. I am hoping it is not too cold out there. So much to do and so little time.
Today I uses another pattern from the Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper. This paper is so fun. Some of the embossing is rose gold, some is silver, and some is gold. Today I used the leaves pattern which has silver and gold embossing. I began my using my Old Olive marker and colored in the leaves. I wanted to see what other technique I could use on the paper, so I pulled out my sponges and Night of Navy ink. Using the sponge I applied ink to the background of the panel. The beauty of this is that the sponging goes on in different depths. This gives the piece the appearance of depth in an easy method. After I sponged on the background I took a soft paper towel and burnished (wipe off with pressure) it all over to remove the Night of Navy ink from the leaves. I took the panel and added some Night of Navy gingham ribbon on the lower portion. This panel was then added to a Night of Navy card base. I wanted a sentiment so I found a simple on in the Sheltering Tree stamp set. The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy. I cut it down and mounted it onto a piece of Night of Navy card stock. The sentiment was mounted onto the card base using dimensionals. To finish off the card a bow was attached using glue dots. Here is the completed Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up.
