A Square Card

Sorry for the late post today ladies. I had my workshop this morning and I did not get time yesterday to make a card to post. After everyone was gone I set about creating my card to post.
I knew I was going to use the color combination from Picture Perfect Creations listed below.
I combined it with the sketch challenge from Gretchen’s Weekend Sketch Challenge. I love Gretchen’s sketches as they usually stretch me just a little. The card was also supposed to be a square card. I have a bunch of larger envelopes that still takes a regular stamp so I cut this card a little bigger – 4 3/4″ square.
Both of these challenges are lots of fun so give them a try!
The only thing that is not regular stamping is the circle element. To make this I inked up the large square image with Mellow Moss and off stamped it 2 times then stamped on my cardstock. Next I used Always Artichoke to ink up the Elegant Thank You (when I mounted it I cut it apart and put the top and bottom swirl on the bottom of the wood block and mounted the sentiment on the side of the block ~ this allows me to personalize the swirls with other sentiments). Finally I used Dusty Durango to stamp the sentiment. I used a 1 1/2″ circle punch to punch the sentiment layer and then used the 1 3/4″ circle punch to add a layer of Always Artichoke. Here is the sketch and my creation.
