Stampin’ Up Amazing Silhouettes

Stampin’ Up Amazing Silhouettes

Hello Everyone – sometimes you have to see a stamp set before you know how to use it, like the Stampin’ Up Amazing Silhouettes.

Since I attended OnStage Online I received several prize patrols. One of them was the Amazing Silhouettes stamp set. I saw an idea online and decided to give it a try.

The Stampin' Up Amazing Silhouettes mimics the embossed resist technique. I used 2 colors on this card. Get all the details for this new stamp set that will be in the Jan - June 2022 mini catalog.

Because of Stampin’ Up policy, I cannot show a picture of the stamp set or list the product numbers.

I wasn’t certain how to use this stamp set but then saw a photo online where someone used the baby wipe technique to ink up the stamp. I thought it was a great idea to use with this stamp set and decided to try it.

I thought it would be fun to use some Winter colors so I chose to use Pool Party and Highland Heather. Once I had my baby wipe stamp pad created, I started to ink up the stamp. No matter now many times I inked the stamp in the homemade pad it would not stamp. I tried several different things and even added water thinking the pad was too dry. After many tries I went back to square 1.

I then pulled out my ink pads and sponge daubers and inked up the stamp that way. It worked to allow me to stamp the image. I do need to work on my inking technique as the baby wipe pad would be blended more.

After spending some time playing with this stamp I did come up with some more ideas to try. Be looking for some more ideas with this stamp set.

I used the same idea to decorate the inside of the card and envelope.

I used Pool Party and Highland Heather colors on this image. Don't miss all the details for the Stampin' Up Amazing Silhouettes. This new stamp set will be in the Jan - June 2022 mini catalog and see the card front.

Since the stamp set mimics emboss resist, here is an idea of emboss resist. Here is a card where sponge daubers were used to color card stock then the leaves were stamped and die cut.
