Stampin’ Up Artistically Inked for a fun background
Happy Friday Stampers – if you have a lot of supplies and want some fun ways to use them, don’t miss today’s Stampin’ Up Artistically Inked for a fun background idea!
I am so excited to share this idea with you today.
The Artistically Inked stamp set consists of watercolor images that make your card making easy to achieve the watercolor look.
It started with the sketch challenge at Try Stampin’ – or not – on Tuesday. I thought it was a fun layout. I wanted a watercolor look to the strips but did not want to try and do it with my reinkers. Then I realized I could get that look using the blob stamp in Artistically Inked. While looking for a layout I ran across a color challenge at Color Throwdown that gave me the colors to use. All I had to do was make my card! Here is the video to show you how to make this fun card.
So you can see how the blob mimics watercoloring, check out this close up.
I used the blog and the butterfly images to decorate the inside of the card and the envelope.
Here is another idea where I used the blob for a watercolor looking panel. The other image used on the card is from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set. I used the same butterfly stamp on this card but colored it in using markers.
