Stampin’ Up Best Day Ever Card

Happy Friday Ladies ~ today I am sharing a Stampin’ Up Best Day Ever Card as we always need All Occasion cards.

My energy audit took 3 hours yesterday.  I was surprised it was so long.  He did every test possible to see how I can lower my energy consumption.  I was thinking I had some duct work problems but it did not indicate there was a problem in this area.  I am wondering what he found with some of his tests.  They should be ready some time next week so then I can do some things to change my usage.

Today Remi has a program at school.  We will go over there at 8 and then come back in about an hour.  I have a workshop this morning to begin the first class of the Christmas mini album.  I had one class on Wednesday evening and the ladies there got the book completed as well as the pocket pages.  I am planning on doing the same with the ladies this morning.  We will finish their books next week.

My card today began with the sketch challenge at Try Stampin’ – or not – on Tuesday

I liked the simple layout so I decided to give it a try.  I began by using a piece of Basic Black and embossing it with the Brick Wall Embossing folder.  This was attached to a Whisper White card base.  I then took some of the Merry Little Christmas dsp a piece of the Real Red 1/8″ ribbon and ran it across the area where the 2 papers are joined.  Tear & Tape was used to attach the ribbon on the back and a glue dot to attach it on the left hand side.  This was placed so that it would be hidden behind the sentiment layer.  These papers were attached to the card base using Tear & Tape.  The sentiment was stamped using Real Red ink and then mounted to a piece of Real Red card stock.  This was added to the card base with dimensionals.  Here is my completed Stampin’ Up Best Day Ever Card.

  1. Robbie – thank you for joining us at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday for our winter time challenge. I like how you used the theme of trees for your card. I have the tree paper, too, so am always looking for inspiration on using it. Happy holidays! -Donna
