Happy Monday Everyone ~ Used my favorite stamp on my Stampin’ Up Buffalo Check and Oh So Eclectic creation today.
I spent all day yesterday working on my last tutorial for the 12 Weeks of Christmas. Not sure why it took so long other than there are a lot of steps for it. I had hoped to work on some other things but that did not happen. That means today I will be busy working working on things on my list that need to be completed before I leave. The videos are the most critical as I won’t be able to do them from Jess’. I might be able to do some of the other things I wanted to get done that did not happen. I just have to look at my list and see what I might be able to take with me.
I wanted to play with my favorite stamp that is carrying over. The Buffalo Check stamp will be available after the Holiday Catalog retires. I am so excited about this as I love this background stamp. I have done a lot with it and decided to play with it for today’s card and pair it with the Oh So Eclectic stamp set. I began by inking up the stamp Memento Tuxedo Black ink. It was stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. To get a good image, turn your stamp upside down and ink up the stamp by taking the pad to the stamp. This way you can see where you still need to add ink. Once you have your stamp inked up, set you card stock on top of the stamp. Add a scrap piece of paper on top and rub your hand all over the stamp. Make sure you hold one side of the paper while rubbing the other side so your paper does not slip. I usually rub my hand over it quite a bit to make sure I get a good imprint. When you think you have a good image, remove the scrap paper and carefully lift your card stock off the stamp. Another item that I am excited is carrying over is the 5/8″ Glittered Black Organdy Ribbon. I used it to add a ribbon on the left hand side of the checked panel. This panel was then added to a Real Red card base. I used some scraps of Whisper White and the Oh So Eclectic stamp set to stamp 2 of the flowers. I off-stamped the solid piece to give me a lighter filled image. The Eclectic Layers thinlit was used to cut out the flowers. I also used the leaf thinlit and some Old Olive card stock to cut out 3 leaf sprays. I added the leaf sprays to the lower right hand corner using some glue dots. The 2 flowers were then added on top of the leaves using dimensionals. A rhinestone was added to the center of each of the flowers as I love my bling! A bow was tied and added to the ribbon in the upper left hand corner using a glue dot. Here is the completed Stampin’ Up Buffalo Check and Oh So Eclectic creation.
