Hello Everyone ~ I have a fun black and white Stampin’ Up Dragonfly Garden card idea for you today.
The new January to June catalog went live yesterday. There are so many gorgeous products in there but one of my favorites is the Dragonfly Garden bundle.
The images in this bundle lend themself to a variety of cards. The dragonflies are perfect for nature lovers or the guy in your life. The coordinating punch makes it great to cut out the image quick and easy. That little dragonfly is a great accent on your card also.
The cluster of dragonflies are perfect for making a quick background. Stamp them using a second generation stamping for a subtle look. They are also perfect for an accent panel down the side of your card front.
And who doesn’t love a bouquet of wildflowers? This tall image looks great in a single color or colored in with markers, pencils, or blends.
The sentiments can be used for encouragement, thank you, friendship, or all occasion. The mix of script and print used for the font gives your cards a whimsical look.
This stamp set is very versatile. You can stamp it in a single color like I did with the black on white or you can use a single color for a fun card. You can even create a great card for any season. Use pastel colors for Spring, bright colors for Summer, reds, oranges, greens, and golds for the Fall, and blues and crisp white for Winter.
For my card today I chose to use black and white. I liked the dramatic effect of the contrast. I chose to create the dragonfly using vellum to give it a transparent look. Check out the video for the Stampin’ Up Dragonfly Garden card and see how easy it is to make.
