Hello Everyone – I have a very colorful card for you today with the Stampin’ Up Expressions in Ink in Pink idea.

I love pink so whenever I can papercraft with it I am very happy. I smiled the whole time I was making this card as it is just so cheery!

The black really helps the pink pop.  I love the banner of pattern paper as an element to add interest.  Check out the blog post for the Stampin' Up Expressions in Ink in Pink card.

The stamp set had a great image that is perfect for decorating the inside of the card and the envelope.

I used this paper with a Paper Pumpkin kit a year ago. This card uses the pink watercolor pattern paper with the gold die cut. Look at how the same pattern paper is the star of this card.


The important stuff about today’s card.

Measurements

Card Base:  Magenta Madness 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
Basic Black layer:  4″ x 5 1/4″ and 2 5/8″ x 4 3/8″ and 2 1/8″ x 2 1/8″
Expressions in Ink pattern paper: 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ colorful flower pattern and 2″ x 2″ green watercolor pattern
White Image layer: 2 1/2″ x 4 1/4″

Let’s Make it!

  • affix stamps to blocks
  • fold and burnish the card base
  • glue the colorful flower pattern paper to the larger Basic Black panel then attach to the card base
  • use the White panel and the Magenta Madness ink pad to create a background by doing a second generation stamping of the small rose
  • with the Evening Evergreen ink pad and the small leaf randomly stamp the leaf using a second generation stamping
  • stamp the sentiment on the right hand side of the White panel using Memento Black ink
  • attach the White Panel to the middle Black panel then add to the card front using dimensionals
  • flag the bottom of the green watercolor paper
  • attach the green watercolor paper to the Black 2 1/8″ x 2 1/8″ then use the green flagged pattern paper as a pattern to flag the Black panel
  • glue the banner to the left side of the White panel
  • add 3 rhinestones to the top right corner of the White panel
