Stampin’ Up Happiness Abounds Friend
Happy Friday Stampers – I did some combining of 3 different products for my Stampin’ Up Happiness Abounds Friend card today.
I love mixing and matching my products to extend the use of my supplies. It makes me feel like I am getting my money’s worth. I just love the way these 3 products created this beautiful card!

The Happiness Abounds bundle is part of the Hues of Happiness suite. I am loving the dies you get in the set to add extra interest to your card panels.

I had all kinds of issues with creating this card and getting ink where it wasn’t supposed to be. I guess that is what I get for taking a week off from creating. Here is the video to show you how I hid some of the mistakes in making this adorable Stampin’ Up Happiness Abounds Friend card.
I am in love with that cute little flower in the set. I used it along with the glycerin coloring for the inside of my card and envelope.

Here is the close up of some of the detail. Look at that great glycerin coloring! Have you tried it yet? I love it for coloring to get depth and a smooth finish.

I love using smaller images on my card. This card uses a small flower spray as the focal image. Clustering the images is a great technique like I did for this beautiful Pool Party card.
Want all the details so you can follow along in my video? Here are the measurements.
Measurements
Card Base: White 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
Night of Navy background layer: 3 3/4″ x 4 3/4″
White: 2 3/4″ x 4″ and scraps for stamping and die cutting
Step by Step
- affix all stamps to blocks
- fold and burnish the card base
- use the scallop die from the Contours dies to die cut the long edge of the Night of Navy panel
- add the Night of Navy panel to your card base centering it
- die cut the background die from Blossoming Happiness on the White panel
- glue the White panel to the Night of Navy panel leaving about 1/8″ on the left side and centered top and bottom
- stamp the flower on a scrap of White using Night of Navy
- add some Night of Navy ink onto an acrylic block along with a drip of glycerin, use an old blender pen to pick up a little glycerin and mixing it with the ink on the block then color your image going back for more ink and glycerin as needed
- color the stem using your Granny Apple Green marker
- die cut the image using the second smallest square so it is in the diamond shape, see photo above
- add the die cut flower to the lower right hand corner of the card base
- stamp your sentiment on another scrap of White using Night of Navy
- cut out the sentiment using the larger fat banner shape
- add your sentiment to the upper left hand corner of your card using dimensionals
- sprinkle on rhinestones – I added mine to hide some ink smudges I made – lol
