Stampin’ Up Heart & Home pattern paper Friend
Hello Everyone – a clean and simple Stampin’ Up Heart & Home pattern paper Friend card is what I am sharing with you today.
There are a few patterns in the Heart & Home pattern paper that I really like. There is a pattern with some softly colored flowers. I used that pattern for a quick card.
When I began designing my card, I first looked at all the different patterns in the collection. There is one that has some Fresh Freesia and Pale Papaya flower sprays on it that I knew would be perfect to play with.
Since I had my paper picked out I need to have a layout. I chose to use the layout from the sketch challenge at Paper Craft Crew Challenges for my card.
To address the horizontal colored strip I pulled out some of the 2021 – 2023 In Color paper assortment and used the plaid Fresh Freesia pattern. It pairs very well with the other pattern paper. The only other element is the splatter on the right hand side of the card. I went to the Nature’s Harvest stamp set for my favorite splatter.
For my sentiment I recently got the Special Moments Sale-a-bration stamp set and found the perfect one for my card.

Measurements for the Stampin’ Up Heart & Home Pattern Paper Friend
Card Base: White 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
layer: Fresh Freesia 4″ x 5 1/4″
Heart & Home pattern paper: 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
2021 – 2023 In Color paper assortment: 1″ x 3 1/2″
Basic Black: 1 5/8″ x 1 3/4″
White: 1 1/2″ x 1 5/8″
Let’s Make It
- fold and burnish your card base
- attach the Fresh Freesia panel to the card base
- stamp the splatter on the lower right hand part of the Fresh Freesia panel
- add the Heart & Home pattern paper to the Fresh Freesia panel on the left hand side leaving a slight strip of the panel showing
- glue the 2021 – 2023 In Color paper strip slightly above center and even with the right hand side of the Fresh Freesia panel
- stamp the sentiment onto the White card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink
- layer the white and black card stocks
- use dimensionals to add the layered sentiment to the card front centering it on the 2021 – 2023 In Color pattern paper about 1/2″ from the right hand side
- sprinkle on 2021 – 2023 In Color gems
I went looking at my stamp sets and found the flower in Tasteful Touches that somewhat matches the flower in the paper. I used it to stamp the inside of the card and the envelope.
I have created several friendship cards over the years. This one uses the Friends are Live Seashells. Die cuts were used to create this great friendship card.
