Stampin’ Up Snowflake Sentiments Wonderful Year

Hello Everyone ~ today I have a Stampin’ Up Snowflake Sentiments Wonderful Year creation for you.

Well I got my table cleared off yesterday and managed to make a card.  I also made some appointments as I need to get new glasses.  I have a pair of glasses that were not expensive that I used all the time.  I took Bijou out on Thursday evening and had them on.  It was raining so I took them off and put them in my pocket.  At least I thought they went into my pocket.  When I got back in the apartment I checked my pocket and they were not there.  I went back out with a flashlight but could not find them.  I also went out yesterday morning and again at noon and looked around but could not find.  That means I am down to only my good pair.  Not a good thing for me so I made an appointment for an exam so I can get new glasses.  I also got some cards ready to mail out and put them in the mailbox.  Last night I went to dinner at the development.  Today I am going to take it easy and play some.  It will be a relaxing day for me!

Today I am sharing another card on my catalog journey.  Up today is the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set.  I decided to do a watercolor background using Shimmery White and Balmy Blue reinker.  After I had the background created I set it aside to dry.  I then used the Swirly Snowflakes thinits to cut out the Snowflake strip.  I added the snowflake strip to the bottom of the watercolor piece using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  This watercolor panel was added to a Balmy Blue card base.  For my sentiment I used one of the ones in the stamp set and inked up the bottom line and stamped it.  I then cleaned the stamp and inked up the top line and stamped it above the other line.  I found it pretty easy to do this by stamping the bottom line first as you could then line up the stamp easier.  If you have a stamping tool you can use it also to get the placement correct.  After I had the sentiment stamped, I used the classic label punch to punch it out.  I mounted it on a piece of Balmy Blue card stock and then cut the Balmy Blue the same shape as the sentiment.  This was mounted on the card base using dimensionals.  To finish my card, I added some rhinestones.  Here is the completed Stampin’ Up Snowflake Sentiments Wonderful Year creation.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I hope you have some fun plans for today.  Not sure what the weather is supposed to be.  We have had a lot of rain lately so I usually plan to play as there is not much else I can do with the rain.  Have a Super Saturday and with the weather we have had lately the only snowflakes we might see are the ones on this Stampin’ Up Snowflake Sentiments Wonderful Year creation.
