Stampin’ Up Soft Sayings Card Kit

Hello Everyone ~ I have some more Stampin’ Up Soft Sayings Card Kit alternatives today.

Well I did not stick to my plan of not purchasing anything for myself.  I went looking for a few patterned tops and ended up purchasing several along with a pair of shorts and a pair of ankle length pants.  I also bought a new purse as the one I have the strap is coming apart.  I hit a great sale.  It was 70% off with an additional 25% off.  Not bad!  I did get some items for my Secret Sister and a flag pole for my yard.  I did have some shorts I had not worn as they were solid colored and I did not have shirts to go with them.  Now I do.  I won’t need to do any shopping for quite a while!

I played with the Soft Sayings Card Kit for the last time.  For my first card it is a full size card.  I took the Berry Burst watercolor wash card base and added one of the gold rose cut outs.  The bow was made using the retired Berry Burst woven ribbon and attached with a glue dot.  The sentiment was stamped onto one of the punch outs.  Here is one of the completed Stampin’ Up Soft Sayings Card Kit idea.

My second card uses the smaller card bases in the kit.  I used the one with the Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide brick background.  I turned the card so the folded edge was at the top.  I took one of the Lemon Lime edged banner pieces and stamped my sentiment by inking up half the sentiment and stamping it and then inking the other half and stamping it underneath the first stamp.  This is easy to do since the stamp is photopolymer.  some gold leaf stickers were added and then some Whisper White baker’s twine was tied around the top.  The banner shape was then added to the card front using dimensionals.  Here is the second card idea.

This card is so each to make using the Stampin' Up Soft Sayings card kit. Get the details for this and another card by clicking through.
