Stampin’ Up Splendid Thoughts in Fall colors

Hello Everyone – I thought I would bring in some Fall colors with today’s Stampin’ Up Splendid Thoughts in Fall colors card.

I did a lot designing with the Splendid Thoughts bundle and Rustic Cottage pattern paper for my September class. I always make more cards than I need and then use the rest for my blog. Today’s card was one that I did not choose to use in class.

Fall with all it's beautiful colors will be here before you know it. This Stampin' Up Splendid Thoughts in Fall Colors is easy to mix and match several products.

This bundle is great for many occasions. The soft colors in the coordinating paper are great for Spring, bridal showers, and weddings. As you can see it can also be used for Fall if you change the colors.

The pattern paper had a Mossy Meadow swirl pattern that would be perfect for the background. All I needed then was the image for the card. I chose to use a tag with a stamped image on it as the background. I inked the image in Crushed Curry and then hit the tips with the Cajun Craze ink pad. Some die cuts from the bundle were added. I saved the centers of the Cajun Craze one and reinserted them into the die for a solid look. The pot was stamped with the same image on the tag to add interest.

The Rustic adhesive backed dots are the perfect compliment to this Stampin' Up Splendid Thoughts in Fall Colors idea. Check out all the detail and texture in this great card!

I really liked the look of the image in Crushed Curry with the Cajun Craze tips. It was perfect to decorate the inside of the card and envelope.

The background image on the card front is perfect for decorating the inside of the card and the envelope. This Stampin' Up Splendid Thoughts in Fall Colors is saying it is ready for Fall!

I have used this bundle several times as I love creating with it. Did you see this idea using the soft colors in the coordinating paper? Here is another idea where I used the same stamp from today’s card to make a background and the main image for the card.

Have you tried adding the die cut pieces back into an open die? It is fun to get a new look and extend the use of your dies.

I hope you have some fun plans for today. I am doing laundry and will then go to my studio to put away all my supplies from my retreat yesterday. Thanks for visiting me today and checking out my Stampin’ Up Splendid Thoughts in Fall colors idea.

Have a Sensational Sunday!
