Stampin’ Up Swirly Scribbles Wreath Idea

Hello Everyone ~ I love my door with a Stampin’ Up Swirly Scribbles Wreath Idea!

Today I am meeting a few ladies on my team so I can share with them my swaps and all the items I got from Convention.  I also go my preorder so they will see that.  We are having lunch and will do a lot of chatting.   It will be a fun afternoon!

I blew it!  This post was supposed to be for this week and I published it last week.  In order for the challenge to work correctly I am reposting it today.

It is that time of the month when we have our Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.  This time we have an inspiration challenge.

When I looked at the board, I was immediately drawn to the door. I decided to see if I could make my own door. I began with the wreath. To give my wreath some depth I used the large circle shape from the Swirly Scribble thinlits to cut out 2 of them ~ one in Crumb Cake and one in Early Espresso. I set both wreaths on top of each other and determined where I could intertwine them. I cut the Crumb Cake wreath up under the bow and pushed the cut part through one of the holes of the Early Espresso wreath. I glued the 2 pieces back together. Then I found an area underneath the bottom holly sprig and cut it apart. I wove it through the Early Espresso wreath and glued it back to together. I stamped my 2 holly sprigs using Shaded Spruce and used a blender pen to color the leaves. The berries were colored with the Lovely Lipstick marker. The bow was created using the Lovely Lipstick 1/8″ grosgrain ribbon and attached over top the join of the wreath with a glue dot. I added the 2 sprigs with glue dots also making sure the bottom sprig was over top the join at the bottom. Now to do my door. I used a Very Vanilla card base and sponged the edges using Soft Suede. I cut you strips from Very Vanilla to mimic the panels on the door. I sponged the edges of those. These were attached with glue dots to give it just a little dimension. Next I took my sponge and swiped it across the card base to add some more weathering to the back of the door. To finish off my card I attached the wreath using glue dots. Here is my completed Stampin’ Up Swirly Scribbles Wreath Idea.
