Stampin’ Up Very Versailles

Stampin’ Up Very Versailles

Happy Friday Everyone – I have my last Stampin’ Up Very Versailles idea to share with you today.

I don't often use all the images in the Stampin' Up Very Versailles stamp set. I wanted to show how to use them with cool colors from the Brights collection. Check out all the information about the card.

There are several images in the Very Versailles stamp set that I don’t use very much. I challenged myself to use those images on today’s card. Since I am using the cool colors – blue, green, and purple – in the Brights collection I chose Pacific Point, Granny Apple Green, and Gorgeous Grape. Those colors offered an extra challenge with this stamp set.

I had some technical difficulties with my phone and did not have any sound. Since I don’t have a video to share with you, I will do my best to explain how I made today’s card.

I started by stamping the words using a second generation of Pacific Point. The vine was stamped on top of the words using Granny Apple Green. The decorative strip was stamped with Gorgeous Grape using a second generation stamping.

To create the back panel, the medallion was stamped with Gorgeous Grape in the lower right hand corner. It needed something so I chose the Greenery embossing folder and embossed the right hand side of the panel. Tip: you have to stamp the image before you emboss or the image will not stamp completely.

All I had to do was layer my panels on my card. This made a fabulous Stampin’ Up Very Versailles creation. You will need the measurements to make your card. Here they are.

Measurements

Card Base:   Pacific Point 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
background layer:  Basic White 4″ x 5 1/4″
image Layer:  Basic White 2″ x 5 1/8″
layer for image: Pacific Point 2 1/8″ x 5 1/4″

To take your card to the next level, make sure you decorate the inside of the card and the envelope.

Don't miss how I used all the images in the Stampin' Up Very Versailles stamp set. I used the cool colors from the Brights collection. Check out all the information about the card.

Here are some other ideas for this stamp set. This one uses the same basic layout but instead of embossing the background panel it uses a torn edge. I paired the vine with the sunflower on this idea.
