Hello Ladies ~ my Stampin’ Up You’ve Got This Technique was a quick and easy card that looks really pretty.
Well I got the dreaded news yesterday. I kept Remi for Jess on Tuesday so she could go in to work. When she picked her up on Tuesday evening Jess said she was not feeling well. They both went to the doctor yesterday and Remi tested positive for Type A flu. I am crossing my fingers that I can avoid it or at least not have a bad case of it. I don’t know what the time frame is for when I might come down with it so it will just be a waiting game. Until then I am staying home and working on blog posts in case I should come down with it. This way I am prepared and I don’t expose anyone else to it. Wish me luck!
Today’s card uses some of the fun Tutti-Frutti designer series paper. This paper is part of my Creations of the Month you can find here. This class has been very popular so don’t miss it!
I was surfing the internet the other day and ran across a card that I liked. When I read about it they had used a special paint to create the look. Since it was a black card with white embossing and technique I decided to see if I could create the same look using my supplies. I wanted to try it with different dark color so I chose to use Night of Navy for my card panel. I looked through my stamp sets and found several that would work. For my first try at the technique I opted to use the flower from You’ve Got This. I stamped the image using Whisper White craft ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I took the reinker for the Whisper White pad and added a couple of drops into the lid. Then using a paint brush, I colored in the some of the leaves of the flower. I set it aside to dry while I put my card base together. I found a Night of Navy paper in the Tutti-Frutti dsp so I chose to use it. This panel was added to a Whisper White card base. Next I took the flower panel and added a bow using the beautiful 1/4″ Whisper White Organza ribbon. This panal was then attached to the card base using dimensionals. Here is the completed Stampin’ Up You’ve Got This Technique.
