Sunday ideas – stamping on a watercolor background

Hello everyone – a watercolor technique was the start of the Sunday ideas – stamping on a watercolor background creation.
I took a day to play with some watercoloring and created several backgrounds. Today’s card uses one of the backgrounds to create a clean and simple idea.
Today’s Project
The last panel I had from my play day used yellow and a pink that also created a beautiful coral color when they mixed. I thought it would be the perfect background for some flowers. I had recently received a fun flower stamp set that I decided to use. I inked the stamp set up with markers and stamped it onto the background. Here is what the final card looked like.

I used a misty to stamp the flowers as I knew I would probably have to stamp them twice. I love the dots on the stamp as they added interest to the watercolor panel. The watercolor background adds shading to the flowers giving them interest.

An easy watercolor idea is to use a block and ink it up then spritz it and stamp onto your watercolor paper like the idea in this card. You can also create a watercolor panel then use a die to cut it out creating a beautiful image.
