Good Morning Ladies ~ This time of year is when the Sunflowers are showing their beauty!
Despite all my running around and workshops I had I still manage to get 2 cards made. Today I have an appointment at 12 and then a lady coming at 3:30 for finish up a class. Then I will be prepping things for our Bingo Stampin’ Up style we are having on Friday evening! I also have to make my Bags & Tags project, card, and tag. These are designed just need to make them! Another busy day!
The ladies at Coloring Down the Lines wanted to do a Fall theme this month.
We are allowed to do any project we want but have to use the photo for inspiration. The first thing I saw when I looked at the photo was the sunflower! I love sunflowers and knew I had just the punch to make some. I used the Blossom Bunch punch to make my flowers. I punched out 2 large and 2 medium flowers for each of the larger flowers. For the smaller flower I punched 2 of the medium flowers and 1 of the small flower. I sponged all the edges with Chocolate Chip ink. I then layered them up using glue dots and offset each layer. To create the center, I punched a gold flower using the retired Itty Bitty punch pack. I then added a Chocolate Chip candy dot on top. Now that I have my flowers made, I needed to design my card.
I saw several cards that used the peekaboo fold. I knew this card would be so cute using it. I chose some more of the Serene Scenery dsp and created my fold. To do the fold you take a piece of dsp and on the long side use your scissors to cut a slit in the middle. I used my snips and the cut is the length of the scissor blade. You then fold the cut back onto the dsp along the line from the end of the cut to the corner. I used a glue dot to hold down the paper. Repeat with the other side. Before you attach the dsp to the card base attach your ribbon if you are using some. I used some of the retired Delightful Dijon lace for my card. You can now attach the dsp to your card base. The only thing left to do is add my sentiment which I used the one from Thoughtful Banners. Here is my completed card.
