A Surprise Post

I haven’t done one of Julee’s Mojo Monday sketches in a while and I couldn’t resist doing this one. It was a great sketch to do and once I picked my image it was easy to complete. This is another Penny Black stamp. I thought it would be a good one to also use to do some silhouette image cards. I will be trying that soon as I would like to play with brayering on color also.

I colored the image with markers and then spritz with water before stamping. I tried doing the petals with Regal Rose and outlining the edges and doing the tips with Rose Red. I don’t think you can see the slight difference in the petals from the picture as it is really subtle but adds just a little bit of highlighting to them. Here is the sketch and my card.
