It is time for our Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge. This week we have an inspiration challenge.
This was a real challenge for me as when I looked at this I realized I did not have any sea stamps. I took some time to look at the picture carefully. I saw a ship over on the left hand side. I remembered the ship in Swirly Bird and that is what I went with. I began by using some Blueberry Bushel and Balmy Blue card stock to cut out the waves. I used one of the waves and traced the edge onto a piece of post-it note. I then cut the edge of the post-it note to use as a mask. I took the blue waves and added dots of glue to the back and set them aside for the glue to set. Using the post-it note mask, I attached it to the Whisper White panel and then using Balmy Blue ink and a sponge I sponged the water onto the bottom on my panel. I stamped the sailboat using Soft Suede and Granny Apple Green. Snips were used to cut out the sailboat. Taking the waves I added the Blueberry Bushel to the top of the sponged area and the Balmy Blue to the bottom of the sponged area. My boat was added to the waves using a dimensional. The sun was created using the circle swirl stamp in the set. For my sentiment I took the curved sentiment from Eastern Beauty and straightened it out as I wanted a straight sentiment. I stamped it using Granny Apply Green then flagged the ends. The sentiment was added to a piece of Granny Apple Green and the ends were also flagged. The sentiment was added using dimensionals. Here is my completed Swirly Scribbles Life is Beautiful creation.
