Happy Friday Stampers!
Well yesterday was quite interesting. I was to meet a local yarn dyer to get some yarn for a test knit. I went to enter her address into my Navigation and it would not let me. That meant I had to go back to the dealership for the 3rd time. I am so glad I have a trusted private mechanic who does the maintenance on my car. This has to go through a computer so I had to use the dealership. Needless to say I was not happy.
I set out with the directions from the dyer. I did not know how much time it would take. I had planned 1/2 hour. I ran into traffic as they were repaving the road. I live in a rural area so most of our roads are single lane. I ended up waiting for 10 minutes. That meant I would be late for the appointment.
After I got my yarn I had to turn in my signed contract and fingerprint check for a class I will be teaching in the Spring for Parks & Recreation. After that I had to go to the dealership. I again have an appointment to take the car in for another check. I then left there and went to the winery to check on the success of some tags I made for them. After that I finally got to go to the yarn store. It was busy morning! Ok, on to my card.
Today is our Paper Plunge challenge. This week our challenge was to add a tag to our creation. While I was making an earlier card, I thought it would be interesting to use the Serene Silhouettes and make a Fall card. I then wanted to see if the stamp would fit in the Chalk Talk Framelits. It did so I cut my tag. I then stamped the image. I added flowers made using the Boho Blossoms punch. I added a Hello Honey satin ribbon but did not attach it. I still felt it needed something, so I used the Chevron embossing folder on the upper corner. I now needed to make my card. I decided to use the swirl from Everything Eleanor for the background. It still needed something so I pulled out the decorative dots embossing folder. I then needed a sentiment. After I stamped it, I punched it out with the hexagon punch. It still needed a background so I used another framelit from the Chalk Talk. I cut it out then measured the hexagon on it and put it back into the framelit and recut the piece shorter so that the punch would fit inside. Here is my card with the tag on it.
